Zymbiotics

The Crew:
Our Good Bacteria Ambassadors

Our fun and quirky team work hard to prep and pamper every batch of fermented food that’s produced in our kitchen. With love, passion, and some dancing, they attend to the probiotic bacteria that cultivate our products; knowing the health benefits and happiness they will bring to you!

Jeff Ziebelman Zymbiotics Fermented Foods

Jeff Ziebelman started Zymbiotics in his home kitchen and his products were only available at one farmers market. Now, Zymbiotics is sold in hundreds of retail stores in eight midwestern states, as well as online throughout the United States.  Zymbiotics brings together many of Jeff’s varied interests and passions such as fermenting, cooking, gardening, healthy eating, helping others and working through the day-to-day challenges of running a small business.  Jeff is very grateful to our valued Zymbiotics customers for their continued support.

Zymbiotics Fermented Foods produces award winning pre and probiotic lacto-fermented foods including Jeff’s Zauerkraut (sauerkraut), Jeff’s Ginger Zarrots (fermented ginger carrots), Jeff’s Beetz (fermented beets with orange rind), Jeff’s Zimchi (kimchi) and Jeff’s Vegan Zimchi (vegan kimchi).  All Zymbiotics fermented foods are made in small handcrafted batches which are delicious and nutritious.

We strive to use locally sourced vegetables for our products and to reduce environmental impact wherever possible.  Educating the community  on the health benefits and uses of fermented foods is a fundamental part of our mission.  Zymbiotics fermented foods are perfect for those following a raw, paleo, low carb, low calorie, vegetarian, vegan, functional food and Kosher diet.  Research indicates that eating naturally fermented prebiotic and probiotic foods aid digestion, boost the immune system and can have positive mental effects reducing some forms of anxiety and depression.
